Klinin held the first two-day seminar of the innovative scientific and practical cycle "Anatomy of Fabric". The meeting was dedicated to technologies for the professional treatment of down jackets, jackets and coats, including delicate items, clothing with membranes and special impregnations.
Klinin seminars are always not only deep professional expertise, but also practical knowledge that can be applied at work immediately after the meeting. The new cycle "Anatomy of Fabric" brings together industry specialists around current challenges in professional textile treatment, modern solutions and experience sharing.
Two days of theory and practice
The programme of the first seminar combined theoretical and practical blocks. Participants examined the properties of fabrics, fillings and finishes, the specifics of seams and hardware, labelling, documentation and production defects. Special attention was paid to membrane materials and methods of working with them.
On the second day, the experts looked at machine treatment technologies, dry cleaning and wet cleaning, stain removal rules, the reaction of fillings to detergents and practical cases of treating down items. In the practical part, participants worked with complex jackets made of combined fabrics, models with complex hardware and heat-sealed seams. The seminar concluded with a demonstration of the treated items, an evaluation of the results and a question-and-answer session.
Expertise for the industry
Specialists with many years of experience in professional textile care shared their experience with the participants:
Natalya Matyushenkova — senior technologist at the "Diana" dry cleaning chain, chemical technologist, a specialist with more than 20 years of experience in the industry.
Andrey Frost — lead technologist at Klinin, author of professional publications and developer of industry-recognised technologies for wet cleaning wool, silk and cashmere.
Alexander Korobov — business development expert at Textile Care, specialising in the implementation of solutions that help businesses improve operational efficiency.
Protocol-60: the technology demonstrated in action
The highlight of the seminar was the presentation of the innovative Protocol-60 technology. A person in a hazmat suit with automatic oxygen supply presented a fluorescent experiment: in special test tubes, participants saw how feathers interact with the technology's washing solution.
Protocol-60 is Klinin's advanced solution for the professional treatment of down items. The technology shortens the full treatment cycle from the traditional 90 to 60 minutes, i.e. it saves up to 33% of time. In addition, it uses one bath instead of two, helps reduce water and electricity consumption, and also reduces operator working time.
This is a technology with no analogues yet in the professional textile treatment industry. It helps dry cleaning and laundry businesses optimise processes, increase productivity and reduce resource costs without compromising the quality of the result.
